Photos from 2009 Investigation into ArmorGroup Guards at the U.S. Embassy in Kabul

In 2009, a Project On Government Oversight investigation revealed security failings at the U.S. Embassy in Kabul, Afghanistan that included overworked guards, language barriers within the guard force, and wild, drunken behavior. During POGO's investigation, about 30 members of ArmorGroup North America came forward with evidence, including photos and videos that showed the security contractor had allowed a "Lord of the Flies" environment that threatened the readiness of the embassy security team. ArmorGroup was later told it could not rebid on its contract to protect the embassy. Below are some of the pictures the whistleblowers sent us.
